What do you enjoy most about working in urgent care?
I enjoy the variety and pace of every shift. I can help manage a wide range of conditions – from rapid testing to minor injuries. It helps maintain my clinical skills, problem-solving skills, and reinforces my ability to think clearly under pressure. When working in urgent care, every role matters, and working together as a team to provide efficient and compassionate care is truly rewarding. Especially when helping patients feel comfortable in stressful moments.
What would you be doing if you weren’t in healthcare?
I have had a successful career as a cosmetologist for 20 years prior to stepping into healthcare. If healthcare were not on my radar, I would continue my creative passion in the beauty industry helping people feel confident and empowered through beauty and self-care. In many ways, the same passion for helping people is what drew me to healthcare.
What are some of your hobbies or things you like to do outside of work?
Some hobbies I enjoy are swimming, dancing, traveling, gardening, cooking, and home projects.
